1. My Journey
Every day, I walk to school so it was hard to divide the journey into specific steps. Instead, I divided it into 4 major blocks between the E 20th to the Tisch building and drew a user journey map based on that:

2. Yu’s Journey
Yu is an IDM(Tandon) student who lives in Brooklyn and I interviewed her on the way coming to Tisch — she takes a class in Tisch — for another user research.
I first asked her for the overall step-by-step journey and then asked about the more specific experience in each step.
Following is the user journey map based on the content of the interview with her.

The main pain points in my user journey map were the crowded street and a street smoking problem,
and those in Yu’s user journey map were hard to know about the important changes of the trains, such as rescheduling in advance.
